Introducing the New SatKing 1000CA VAST Decoder – Now Available at SatPlus

Heading away in the caravan, setting up satellite television at home, or replacing an ageing VAST box? The new SatKing DVBS2-1000CA has arrived at SatPlus, bringing together satellite TV, flexible recording options and features suited to home and travel.

Available now for $349, the SatKing 1000CA is an Australian VAST-certified high-definition satellite receiver. Its compact design makes it a practical option for caravans, motorhomes and rural homes where space can be limited.

More Flexibility When Your Favourite Programs Clash

Nobody enjoys choosing between two favourite programs showing at the same time.

The SatKing 1000CA includes twin tuners. With a compatible external USB hard drive connected, it can record two channels simultaneously and let you watch a third channel within the supported network. Channel combinations are subject to the receiver’s recording limitations.

It also offers pause and rewind for live television, an eight-day program guide and Series Link recording. These features make it easier to plan your viewing and keep up with a favourite series. External USB hard drives up to 3TB are supported and sold separately.

At Home or on the Road

The supplied 240V power adaptor lets you use the receiver from a normal household power point.

For caravan and motorhome owners, an optional 12V cigarette lighter cable allows operation directly from a suitable 12V supply. Whether you are staying at a powered campsite or travelling further afield, you can choose the power connection that suits your setup.

The decoder also includes a built-in satellite signal finder to help when aligning a portable dish. A satellite dish is purchased separately.

Satellite TV Without Using Your Internet Data

Normal VAST satellite viewing does not require an internet connection. Television arrives through your satellite dish, so watching it does not use your mobile internet allowance.

For supported catch-up and streaming services, the 1000CA can also connect to the internet through Ethernet or an optional compatible SatKing Wi-Fi adaptor. These services require internet access, may use data and are subject to app availability.

Useful Everyday Features

SatKing has included several practical touches:

• A learning remote that can learn compatible television remote commands.

• Front-panel channel display and control buttons.

• HDMI and RCA/AV connections.

• Closed-caption support.

• A compact metal case.

Check Your VAST Access Before Getting Started

VAST access requires smartcard registration and activation. Permanent household installations are subject to eligibility at the property, while travellers can apply for traveller access.

Before buying for home use, visit MySatTV to check eligibility and registration requirements. If you are replacing an existing decoder, you will also need to register the new receiver’s smartcard.
