Losing Channel 10? Know your viewing options
Updated 8 October 2026
Channel 10’s local aerial broadcasts are coming to an end in parts of regional South Australia and NSW. WIN has confirmed that the final broadcasts of 10, 10 Drama and 10 Comedy will take place on Friday 9 October 2026.
The affected broadcast areas are:
-
Mount Gambier and the Limestone Coast
-
South Australian Riverland
-
Griffith and the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area
The closure follows unsuccessful negotiations between WIN and Network 10. A temporary three-month extension kept the channels running while discussions continued, but no long-term agreement was reached.
Can you still watch Channel 10?
Online streaming: Network 10 programming remains available through 10’s website and the 10 app, provided you have a suitable internet connection.
VAST satellite TV: For eligible households, VAST provides access to free-to-air television via satellite, including channels from Australia’s commercial networks, ABC and SBS. Satellite reception does not rely on an internet connection, and there are no ongoing subscription fees. Equipment and installation costs apply.
Check eligibility before buying: Losing a local Channel 10 broadcast does not automatically confirm your household’s eligibility for VAST. Applications are assessed against the service’s access criteria.
