SF3235 Analog Satellite Meter
This is a fantastic little unit, far better than the other cheaper units for only a few $$ more. As stated the needle doesn't jump around when searching for satellite. Remember though it will pick up other satellites so if your on a sat and no channels, your on wrong satellite. Usually you will need to move it few degrees towards north and up few degrees. I've been travelling and setting my dish now for 20 yrs.
This unit seems to be the best one I've owned in that time. Will definitely purchase another when I destroy this one.
I used this Satellite Meter to set up my new dish. Followed all the instructions and it looked as though it was set up perfectly with very high readings on the meter. When I went and looked at the TV there was no signal strength showing and no signal quality reading. I removed the Satellite Meter then went back to the dish and moved it several degrees to the East until I got the signal showing on my VAST receiver readout. This meter was a waste of time and money as it was completely wrong with the readings it showed.
Hi Rene and thank you for your review. As we state in the description this is a very basic meter and it will find all satellites and unless you know a little about satellite alignment then it is always best to go for a digital meter. This is the same meter we supply in our home satellite systems as it is low cost and generally only used once. In 20 years we're yet to have someone return a home sat kit due to not being able to get the dish aligned and the system up and running (sometimes with a little help from us over the phone). We always offer free tech support too so perhaps if you had at least called us and leaned on us for support first then your 1 star review might have turned into a 5 star. Anyway not to worry at least you eventually got it up and running without the meter. Cheers. John
