1. Stay Entertained Anywhere, Anytime: As you traverse the vast expanses of Australia, there might be patches where regular terrestrial TV reception becomes unreliable. With an automatic satellite dish, you can remain connected to your favourite TV shows and news. Never miss out on important updates or entertainment, no matter how remote your location.

2. Automatic Tracking: The keyword here is *automatic*. With traditional dishes, you'd have to manually adjust the dish to face the satellite, which can be a hassle. The UEC Aura 60, however, automatically aligns itself. No more fiddling with controls or getting frustrated trying to find a signal. Just press a button, and you're tuned in!

3. Compact and Durable Design:  The UEC Aura 60 are designed to be compact and unobtrusive. Built for the rugged Australian conditions, they're durable enough to withstand the elements.

4. Enhance the Resale Value of Your Caravan: Future-proof your caravan. As more people realise the value of staying entertained on the move, having an automatic satellite dish can increase your caravan's appeal and potentially its resale value.

5. Safety: Beyond just entertainment, being able to receive updates about weather conditions or any local alerts can be vital for safety. This is especially important if you're exploring some of Australia's more remote areas.

An automatic satellite dish that will provide exceptional satellite TV coverage around most of Australia and all at the press of a button.

Looking to install yourself ?  It's a straightforward task  to fit one of these premium systems on your caravan or motorhome roof. Save money by doing it yourself. Alternatively we can arrange installation on the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast.

Altech UEC AURA (HALO) 60CM auto-pointing, auto-skewing satellite dish system is compact and fits where larger 85cm dishes won't.  It really is surprising where this system will work due to the recently upgraded Optus 10 satellite (replaces Optus C1) with even more power (so smaller dishes work even better).  Requiring only 97cm x 65cm of roof space. Signal coverage is similar to the Satking Promax.

The 60cm dish will work well from Cairns to Victoria including Tasmania, across the Nullarbor to Perth and north as far as Exmouth.  For central Australia and North Western WA as well as remote NT we suggest the 85cm version.  However, although we haven't tested it as yet in Central and North western regions, we believe it'll work in 80%- 90% of the Australia's land mass as an estimation, maybe even more.  We will do our best to affirm this soon.  The 85cm dish is required for optimal coverage throughout Australia.

UPDATE: A customer travelling up far north QLD at Karumba had his 60cm Aura dish working perfectly.  We recently performed a test at the Brisbane Caravan Show and both the SatKing Promax and the Halo 60 showed exactly the same signal quality on our 3240B meter - 81%.

We will also include an 700mm x 300mm powdercoated aluminium plate that increases bonding contact area and spreads the load.

Although the system can operate from a single coaxial cable (with a VAST box only) and as the Aura 60 features a twin LNB with 2 x cable connections, it is best practice to run 2 x cables from the dish into the van.  This way, one cable will connect direct to the Halo control box and the other to the VAST free to air box.  Running a Foxtel IQ decoder box as well as the VAST box ?  No worries, simply connect the 2 incoming cables to a 2 in 4 out multiswitch and connect up to 4 x short coaxial cables from the multiswitch to the control box (1), the VAST box (1) and the Foxtel IQ box (2).  So, having 2 x cables connected allows for much more flexibility when connecting VAST free to air and Foxtel IQ or even 2 x VAST free to air boxes at each end of the van or even one outside.  If you do require short coaxial cables you can add them here.  We suggest either 1m or 2m.

If you are purchasing the AURA for the purpose of running a VAST box only, you will NOT require the multiswitch.  If you are purchasing it to run only a Foxtel IQ decoder box you still do not require the multiswitch.  If running both, then you should purchase the multiswitch.  Either way, still run the 2 x cables into the van interior.

BRACKET OPTIONS

The Altech 5000 VAST decoder is an unusual shape and has no mounting holes to mount under a shelf or vertically inside a cupboard. For these reasons, we offer 2 mounting options:

  • Under shelf (or vertically mounted) shelf bracket
  • Integrated TV bracket which attaches the VAST box to your TV

Under shelf bracket: Custom made, powder coated, aluminium mounting shelf bracket to suit Altech UEC 4921 PVR ready & DSD 5000 satellite decoders. Two piece design locks the decoder in place whether mounted horizontally, vertically or even upside down.  Made specifically for the Altech 4921 PVR and 5000 models only.  Will not suit other VAST decoders.

Easy to install and gives a professional look to complete your installation.

Integrated TV bracket:

Already mount your TV on a TV wall bracket? Not sure if you have space to mount your new Altech VAST box? Want to keep the installation clean and tidy from messy cabling? You take the TV off the TV support bracket while travelling anyway so why not have the Altech VAST box mounted permanently on the back of the TV?  What a great integrated solution.

Our SatPlus  4921 integrated TV bracket is the perfect solution that:

  • keeps the decoder protected at the back of the TV while travelling
  •  offers a discreet mounting option
  • integrates the box into the TV
  • fits all 15 - 24" TV's with 75mm or 100mm VESA mounting holes
  • can be rotated to suit all brands of TV depending on the TV connection socket positions
  • utilising the DSD 5000 IR sensor, decoder operations are controlled by pointing the remote control at the sensor eye on the front of the TV
  • minimises cable connect/disconnect.
  • provides an ideal mounting option when there is no other alternative
  • looks aesthetically better

Installation is easy. Simply remove the head of your exisiting TV bracket from the back of your TV, place the SatPlus 4921 bracket plate over the 4 existing mounting holes and bolt your TV bracket head back to the TV.
