I already have a VAST decoder and dish working a TV in the far end of the house. If I were to purchase a second decoder (for another part of the house) join it via a splitter on the dish cable to the second decoder and TV would it work OK ?
Yes a splitter would work fine. It needs to be a satellite splitter though, with power pass on both ports and rated to 2400 MHz.
Would this be a suitable replacement for an Altech UEC DS 4121 (this is playing up)? Can I use my existing smart card or would I need to 'activate' (if that is the correct term) another one?
If you were to purchase the Satking decoder to replace your existing DSD 4121 decoder it would be supplied with a new smartcard that is paired to the SatKing box. Simply email VAST and let them know you have purchased a new decoder and give them the new card number and all services would be enabled.
Is the loopuot for connection to another decoder or direct to another tv. I want to operate two tvs 1 in carava 1 in annexe or what would be the correct procedure.
The loop out is just to connect another decoder. If you are just using VAST, a two way splitter would do the same job. The loop out is not for connecting to a TV.
What is the width and depth of the Satking VAST 800?
The unit is 22cm wide and 20cm deep. That allows for the connectors on the back.
We have a dish that we used to take our Austar box with us,we are now on Foxtel. Is there some way of us using our Foxtel box with our dish. Our box is my star.
If it is a Foxtel satellite box then nothing changes. Align the dish like you always have.
do you have the ir attachment and if so what price. the 12 volt lead as well
We certainly do have both the IR sensor and the 12V leads.
