Can I get a 2 cable LNB for foxtel iq
You certainly can and we don't charge any extra for this. If you do order one, please write in the comments that you require a twin output LNB fitted with twin cabling on the dish.
Want to use this dish in Western Australia, was advised to get at least an 85cm dish. Do you have a folding dish this size?
We only have the Optima T2 which is 75cm x 83cm. There are now around 1500 of them out there and tested all over Australia including Exmouth and Kununurra.
Can I purchase the Optima 75T dish without the tripod stand section?
The Optima T2 dish has a mast diameter of 40mm and fits into an acetyl collar on the tripod with diameter of 40.25 mm and has a slot cut into it with a locking band and cam lever that tensions the collar to lock up the direction. This makes it a perfect fit. You would be hard pressed to find a tube that it would fit into properly unless we supply the collar and locking band/cam. We can supply the dish with the acetyl sleeve and locking cam and you can source a 50mm mast with 2mm wall thickness or we can supply the mast. This will make the ID of the tube 46mm and with a small amount of sanding the collar will fit perfectly. We will be offering the Optima T2 with drawbar pole option in the new year. Please call after the 9th when we get back.
Do you have the height x width x length of the dish in the storage bag and the same for the tripod? I need to check storage options in my van. Also is the LNB a single or dual one?
Measurement in the bags are (L x W x H):
Dish - 75cm x 13 x 46
Tripod - 77cm x 18 x 18
The standard issue LNB we supply is a single output however we can convert this to a twin output unit on the dish at no extra charge. You would however require twin coaxial cable from the dish to the van as well as a twin wallplate to get through the van wall (additional cost).
What size is the dish ? Do you need a decoder if you have a Foxtel box and your home Foxtel is via satellite ? Is a directional finder included ? What is the total cost of dish, tripod, directional finder, carry case & decoder [ if required ], In other words, total package cost.
This is the dish system only. If you're looking for a complete Optima T2 satellite kit without the decoder (you supply your pay TV decoder), have a look at this link - https://www.satplus.com.au/products/optima-t2-mobile-pay-tv-satellite-kit
Looks great on the website. The elevation adjustment - how accurate is this given the dish is mounted on a tripod. Wouldn't the tripod have to be levelled (does it have a leveling device) to be able to rely on the elevation markings on the dish assembly?
Hi Lance. When we first setup for the etching on the stainless rod, we levelled the tripod and used a digital elevation level to set the increments correctly so they are very accurate. Each leg of the tripod is adjustable and we can include a small bubble level that you can place on the tripod and level up prior to placing the dish on the tripod. Even if the tripod isn't perfectly level, and you don't get signal on the first pass, simply adjust the dish up or down slightly, it's very easy to find the satellite this way.
How long is the cable and is it possible to get an extra length cable?
The cable is only a short one attached to the dish and intended for connection of the sat meter at the back of the dish. Once aligned, a longer cable (generally around 10 metres) would be connected to the short cable and connect through your van wall to the box.
