Can you pick up Free to Air and Foxtel with this Dish. I have my own Foxtel MTSTAR bOX.
If you have your own MyStar decoder, you can connect your unit to the Maxview Precision Mobile VAST kit and receive both MyStar and VAST free to air channels. We include the VAST decoder in this system and this is used to access the free to air programs.
We live in Brisbane but we will be travelling throughout Australia. What diameter dish do we need to give us good reception including Western Australia.
In many parts of Australia a 65cm dish will suffice. In more remote areas like Central Australia and North West WA (Carnarvon north to Kununurra), a minimum 75cm dish is required. Of course you can increase the dish size even more to make alignment easier in the weakest signal areas but you also need to be able to store the dish. We know that a dish that measures 830mm x 750mm (this is classed as a 75cm dish) will work in Kununurra (one of the weakest sat signal areas in Australia). If it works there it'll work everywhere. In our opinion, this is the best dish size for a good balance of performance and storage.
How do you connect Foxtel and Vast box up to Dish
The precision features a twin output LNB with two connections on the back. Two coaxial cables need to be connected from the dish to the van if you wish to connect a VAST decoder and Foxtel. These two cables should then be connected to a 2 in 4 out multiswitch. The outputs from the switch can then be connected to each satellite decoder. Have a look at this link to explain how the multiswitch works - https://www.satplus.com.au/products/satking-2-in-4-out-multiswitch
How soon would I get it to Kempsey on the north coast? How much is freight?
Hi there, freight to Kempsey would take about 3 - 4 days. If you add it to cart, the software will calculate freight for you and if you don't want to proceed you can just remove from cart or continue on to make your purchase.
Are you able to supply just the dish kit without the Decoder as I already have one?
The Maxview Precision system can be purchased without the satellite decoder. We call this a Pay TV system but it is the complete kit without the VAST decoder ready for connection to any box.
