Removal of existing PCI based cards within the users PC may be necessary initially to install the Twinhan satellite card. Returns will not be accepted for a refund unless proven to be faulty. PHOENIX 3600A FTA SATELLITE AND TERRESTRIAL DECODER
The quality Phoenix 3600A satellite decoder combines a satellite and terrestrial tuner into a single unit. This eliminates the need to have 2 separate decoders and remote controls. What we like about this unit is that by simply pressing the OK button, you can select any channel (satellite or terrestrial) without the need to switch between tuner menus. If you are looking for a combined free to air satellite and terrestrial decoder, the Phoenix 3600A would be a good choice.
Star 2880A free to air satellite decoder. When using a standard satellite decoder, the user is required to know the parameters to scan in the channels on a particular satellite such as frequency, symbol rate, polarity and code rate or FEC. Although these details are readily available on websites like www.lyngsat.com it can confusing for the uninitiated and also time consuming to enter in lots of parameters. A blind scan unit such as the Star 2880A does all this automatically. It will scan the entire frequency range of the satellite and download all of the available programs. This makes it ideal for 'feed hunting'. Feeds are programs that are generally unencrypted (free to air) and are broadcast for a short term with the sole purpose of feeding an earth station with video for live or recorded programs. The Star 2880 is a low priced decoder featuring digital audio output, PAL-NTSC auto conversion, 500 channel memory space, closed captions, signal level and quality indicator and more.
