An inverter converts DC voltage to AC voltage.  In simple terms, an inverter connects to a 12V car battery or cigarette socket and converts this DC power to AC.  On the front of the inverter you will find at least one standard 240V power socket.  This can be used to run your laptop, TV, lights, recharge devices, in fact any electrical product that is rated at a lower power consumption than the inverter rating.  We only sell pure sine wave inverters as these units output a pure, clean source of power unlike modified sine wave inverters.
